“Firstly, when I arrived to drop them off, even though it was during working hours, no one was at the kennel to accept them. I had to call the owners cell phone in order to get her to come back to her business and admit them. She showed up irritated and perhaps high or drunk. I didn’t have much of a choice, so I left my dogs with her and explained that the older female needed her medication to live (which I provided in clearly labeled pill boxes with the date and time of day of administration). I came back to check on my dogs the next day since I was staying in town. Again, during business hours, no one was there. I came back a day later, this time they were finally open. Upon inquiring about my dog’s medication, the lady working there at the time (not the owner) said “what medication?†and went back to the kennels to look. At this time she produced the pill boxes I had left, both full and one chewed up and broken. Not only had my older dog not received her meds, I guess the owner had just thrown the pill boxes into the kennel and my other dog had chewed the box up. I pulled my dogs from the kennel that instant despite not having a place to put them. The daughter of the owner even wanted to charge me. I strongly advise anyone against leaving their dogs at this kennel due to the owner’s obvious negligence. I’m just glad I was in town and able to check on my dogs before they got seriously ill or died.”
