Canine Country Club
German Shepard
“I purchased a German Shepard puppy from John Henkel at The Canine Country Club many yeats agoand this puppy grew into the most magnificent dog I could wished for. He gave my family any years of loyal friendship and protection, he was just a great dog I selected this dog from a litter and John Henkel marked the puppy’s ear so I would know it was mine. When time came to pick the pup up my entire family went to get him. My children bonded with him on the front lawn of the MacDonalds Rest on Rout7 whet we stopped for a burger.. everything this man told me about the dog was true and we all could not have expected anything more. I could go on and on but our dog Lance was the greatest investment we could have ever made and a John Henkel was a great breeder. I thank John for the time I had with Lance. I am now handicapped and I am toying with the idea of getting a fully trained family protection dog, but I don’f Yet know where to go. My handicap is not incapacitating but I need help protecting myself.” -

Happy Tails Pet Resort
HORRIBLE OWNERS RUN AWAY
“The owners Judy and Jim are deceitful people whom should NOT be involved with animals. We entrusted them to board our Great Dane Zero and paid for a luxury air conditioned suite. Zero was injured on day 2 of her 6 day stay by their chain link fencing. We never received a call and she NEVER received treatment until the morning of picking her up. At that point her leg was very swollen and terribly infected. We had to drive around to the rear kennel to pick her up as she could not stand or walk. We rushed her to the vet and after comprehensive treatment for two months Zero was unable to overcome her injuries. She was laid to rest late September of this year. The owners Judy and Jim maintained they had no idea what happened to Zero. As of today12-12-2017 we had our day in court. It was finally today we learned the partial truth that Zero was stuck under a fence. It was also today that we received justice for Zero. Happy Tails had to pay vet fees and for cremation after the horrendous injuries and months of lies told by Judy Marksbury. Please please please stay away from this business!!!” -

Paw Palace
AVOID THE PAW PALACE
“Please beware of the PAW PALACE!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE FOR BOARDING!! We recently took our dog there for boarding - 6 nights - and when we picked her up she was in pretty bad shape. Full Disclosure - she is an 11yr old chocolate lab that has a little arthritis in her hips. When picking her up I was told she laid most of the time (6 DAYS) - as the mats/padding they placed on the ground she would move out of the way and lay on the cold floor. So instead of helping her up periodically and allowing her to move or even placing a different style of flooring down they let her lay. So she laid on the ground never getting up because the floor was slick and she was unable to stand up. She walked around the corner with her head hanging and barely walking - pretty much in the most pain I have ever seen her in. Helping her into my car I notice she can not jump in because her hind legs are to weak - thought ok she is a little sore. Then I notice she has a pressure spot on her ankle and poop all over her bottom - they didn't even notice. So now she is in the car and I have to get her out - PICKING her UP because she is to weak to stand. Fast forward to me getting home, and not raging on the employee at PAW PALACE, my wife gets them on the phone. They have excuse after excuse - we can't watch every dog every minute, she kept moving the padding, yadda-yadda-yadda. That really set her off and she requested a refund, they said no, she continued, they said ok 50% is the best we can do. She keeps expressing her concern. She then calls Knappenberger Veterinary Clinic directly - they state that they are 2 different businesses that share the same building - well yeah that is a nice EXCUSE - but you are STILL OWNED WITHIN THE SAME FAMILY - http://www.knappenbergervet.com/team/dr-tom-knappenberger/ see line 6 - brothers/dad/son etc... They then called back and said we can give you a full refund and will mail the check soon. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!” -

Crosswind Kennels Incorporated
PURE EVIL
“I bought a yorkie pup through Crosswinds. I was informed that my pup had NEVER been HELD by a HUMAN the ENTIRE 3 MONTHS OF HER EXISTENCE, NEVER played with a TOY, ATE her own FECES because that's what she saw her mother do to keep the cage clean, SINCE THE OWNER WOULDN'T. Within 3 DAYS of having my pup, we were in the animal hospital because she was PEEING BLOOD, BLOATED STOMACH, and EXTREME PAIN. She had a MASSIVE kidney stone at 3 MONTHS OLD because the CHEAP FOOD given to her was SO HIGH in PROTEIN. We almost lost her. This is the same breeder that when 29 of her yorkies died in 2009 due to a fire caused by a lightening strike? Talked more about how the building wasn't insured. This woman is EVIL. Those 29 babies BURNED to death trapped in their dirty cages and she was more concerned about not having insurance on the building. I cannot fathom that level of evil. She only cares about money, the lives and well-being of the animals who are so innocent and helpless mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to her. She seeings them as a means to live, not living, breathing beings.” -

“We have used Deb's 3-4 times a year for more than 10 years. Our dogs are always happy to get there and happy when we pick them up. That tells us they are loved and well-cared for at Deb's!”
